Day 1Arrival and welcome in Luxor

Upon arrival at Luxor Airport, you will be met personally and transferred to a comfortable villa overlooking the Nile. Depending on your arrival time, breakfast, lunch or dinner will be served. The rest of the day is at your disposal for relaxation.

Day 2New Qurna, Karnak, and Luxor Temples

You will visit New Qurna, the well-known village project by architect Hassan Fathy. During breakfast with a local family, you'll gain insights into the region's daily life. Afterwards, you will explore Karnak Temple and experience Luxor Temple at sunset. In the evening, there will be time for the traditional bazaar.

Tag 3Hot air balloon, West Bank and trip to Aswan

Early in the morning, you'll experience a hot air balloon ride over the Nile and the temple landscape. Afterwards, you'll visit the Valley of the Kings, the Temple of Hatshepsut, and the Colossi of Memnon. In the afternoon, there will be a transfer to Aswan and an overnight stay in a traditional Nubian house.

Are there fixed travel dates?

No. The trip is organised individually upon request. The date, group size, and possible extensions will be agreed upon jointly.

How is the felucca equipped?

The felucca is a traditional Egyptian sailing boat. The sleeping berths are located in a communal area on deck. A simple bathroom is available on board.

Do I need a sleeping bag?

The exact equipment will be confirmed before the start of the trip. Depending on the season, a lightweight sleeping bag or additional thermal protection may be recommended.

Are there private cabins on the felucca?

No. The felucca trip is intentionally designed as a communal and close-to-nature experience. Sleeping takes place in a communal area under a protective roof.

Can the trip be booked as a private trip?

Yes. The programme is suitable for couples, families, solo travellers and private groups of friends.

Is the hot air balloon flight included?

Yes, the hot air balloon flight is included in the planned itinerary. Its operation is dependent on weather conditions and regulatory approvals.

Is diving included in the price?

Snorkelling is part of the programme. Diving can be arranged additionally, depending on availability, qualifications, and personal preferences.

Are vegetarian or vegan meals possible?

Light daywear, comfortable shoes, swimwear, sun protection, a hat, sunglasses, warm clothing for cool evenings, personal medication, a camera and a power bank are recommended.
