Itinerary – 5 Days
Day 1 – Thursday, 2 April 2026
Embarkation & overnight in Luxor
Arrive in Luxor and board your dahabeyya. Enjoy a welcome drink and a light lunch on board. In the afternoon, visit the Karnak Temple (Egypt’s largest ancient temple complex), including quieter areas such as the Opet Festival Temple. Dinner on board. Overnight anchored near Luxor.
Day 2 – Friday, 3 April 2026
West Bank: Valley of the Kings – Hatshepsut – Medinet Habu (full sightseeing day)
Head to the West Bank for the Valley of the Kings, the Hatshepsut Temple (Deir el-Bahri) and Medinet Habu. Lunch during the day’s program. Later, begin sailing south towards Esna. Dinner and overnight on board.
Day 3 – Saturday, 4 April 2026
Edfu – Gebel el-Silsileh – Bassaw Island Sunset
Visit the Edfu Temple (Horus), famous for its exceptionally well-preserved Ptolemaic architecture. Continue to Gebel el-Silsileh — one of the Nile’s most impressive stretches (including the Temple of Horemheb & ancient quarries). Late afternoon on Bassaw Island: optional kayaking and a relaxed sunset party on the island.
Day 4 – Sunday, 5 April 2026 (Easter Sunday)
Kom Ombo – Herdiab Island (swim & relax)
Morning visit to the Kom Ombo Temple (Sobek & Horus) and the adjacent Crocodile Museum. Then sail to Herdiab Island for swimming, downtime, and island time. Easter evening on board. Overnight on/near Herdiab Island or near Aswan.
Day 5 – Monday, 6 April 2026
Philae – Nubian village – disembarkation in Aswan
Take a motorboat to the Philae Temple (Temple of Isis). Then visit a Nubian village for a cultural introduction & tea with a host family. Farewell lunch on board. Afternoon disembarkation in Aswan, including transfers to the airport/train station.
Optional: Cairo Extension (2–3 nights)
For guests who would like to extend: briefing & organisation for an optional extension (e.g., evening flight Aswan → Cairo, followed by 2–3 nights including Giza, Saqqara, the Grand Egyptian Museum and city experiences).
